The work we do in the training center would be wasted without proper implementation in the villages. By visiting each village on a regular basis, we can assist the trainees with anything they need to set up a successful solar or livelihood programme, and we ensure a well-working support system within the community. For example, we select a solar committee that can assist with collecting solar monthly fees, and we build a Rural Electrical Workshop in each village.

We also conduct monitoring surveys every 6 months and an evaluation survey every 2 1/2 years to keep track of the impact Barefoot College Zanzibar has on the communities.
